As an express standard, Canadian Shield recruits and selects only the best and the brightest graduates of policing, criminology and security education programs at the post-secondary level. We then train them at levels well beyond the industry standards, providing skills in areas such as customer service, conflict resolution, qualified first aid and CPR instructors, trained on defibrillators, powers of arrest procedures, handcuffing and use of force, and many other related subjects.
